In those dark hours, Blair realized it was futile to attempt to stop loving Chuck. He was a part of her now. His pain felt like her own, and she knew she’d do nearly anything to help him through this. She refused to believe there wasn’t a way out of this hell; a place he could escape to. One day she’d be there with him when he made it. She didn’t fool herself into believing that there was a happily ever after in their future. She’d meant what she’d said to him. Romance was not in the cards. He was too broken, and she was too afraid. She’s stand by him, though. She’d hold him up when he fell down, and she’d fight for him. No matter what, she promised herself, she would fight. (x)
